Day 1: Arrival at the airport – Transfer to the hotel (with optional excursions depending on the time of your flight)

Meet and greet at the airport where our company representative will be ready to welcome you and provide you with all the information required.

 

Depending on your arrival time, our company representative will propose optional excursions in Nairobi where the guest can choose from or be transferred to the hotel (Hemingway’s Nairobi) to relax and await a safari the next morning.

 

If the client(s) opt for an excursion, a few options will be provided namely

 

Some of the excursions are:

  • A visit to sheldrick Wildlife Trust (open from 11 a.m to12 p.m)
  • A visit to the giraffe center (open from 9 a.m to 5 p.m)
  • A visit to the Karen blixen museum famous for the movie “out of Africa” (open from 9 a.m to 6 p.m)
  • Safari inside the Nairobi national park.
  • Dinner at the famous carnivore restaurant.
  • Dinner in a Nairobi restaurant with live local music band (a cultural interaction with local culinary experience)

Day 2: Depart to Maasai Mara National Reserve the distances varies (275 km /6 hrs) depending on which gate or entry point of Maasai Mara you want to access.

Breakfast at your hotel then depart to Maasai Mara National Reserve with lunch included at the hotel.

We will have a stop along the way before arriving at our destination, the first stop will be at the rift valley viewpoint where you will stop to take photos of this beautiful wonder.

You will have a chance to see the oldest Catholic Church, a testament to the regions rich cultural and religious history. Notable attraction along the way includes view of Mount Longonot that dominates the horizon, its volcanic peak is an iconic feature of the landscape.

Pass through Mai Mahiu, where travelers traverse a vibrant town that bustles with activity. The name “Mai Mahiu” originates from the Maasai phrase meaning “hot water,” a reference to the geothermal activity in the area.

View of Mount Suswa: Rising prominently on the horizon, Mount Suswa captivates with its rugged beauty. This dormant shield volcano offers a glimpse into Kenya’s volcanic past and serves as a striking backdrop for the journey to Maasai Mara.

The Maasai Mara, a wildlife reserve in Kenya, is renowned for hosting the spectacular annual wildebeest migration. This natural phenomenon sees millions of wildebeest, accompanied by other animals like zebras and gazelles, journey from the Serengeti in Tanzania to the Maasai Mara in search of fresh grazing land. This migration typically occurs between July and October, making it a major attraction for visitors from around the world.

On arrival to Maasai Mara National Reserve guest will have a chance to spot wildebeest ,zebra, giraffes ,topi, eland, Thomson’s gazelle ,coke, s hartebeest , lion, leopard , cheetah ,rhino ,elephant, buffalo and a variety of birds boasting over 450 bird species, including raptors, waterfowl, and migratory birds. On the way to the hotel for lunch then settle in the hotel to relax and prepare for the next day early morning game drive.

Day 3: Masai Mara (full day safari with lunch at the hotel)

After breakfast, we will depart for a full day game drive roughly 7 – 8 hours .The Park is huge and rich in wildlife which you will cover the unexplored interior parts of the Mara filled with a lot of active wildlife in a very unique landscape.

Later, we will drive up to the famous RIVER MARA which is always infested by hungry crocodiles and hunting activity. The lions always frequent the banks of the river in order to spot the weakest prey. If lucky, we will see an unbelievable hunt!

Head to the hotel for lunch relax for a short while then proceed for an evening game drive.

Arrival at your hotel for dinner and overnight at Mara Intrepid Camp.

 

Day 4: An early visit to the Maasai village and half day game drive

 

Upon arrival, you may be greeted by Maasai villagers performing a traditional welcome ceremony, which often includes singing and dancing

 

Local guide may take you on a tour of the village, showing you traditional Maasai homes known as “manyattas.” These are typically made of mud, sticks, grass, and cow dung, and may vary in size and design.

Maasai villagers may demonstrate various traditional skills such as fire-making using sticks, beadwork, and spear throwing. You may have the opportunity to learn some of these skills yourself.

 

Purchase handmade crafts such as beadwork, jewelry, and traditional clothing directly from the artisans in the village. This supports the local economy and provides you with unique souvenirs.

 

Then head to the hotel to relax and await lunch. After lunch evening game drive where you will spot wildebeest ,zebra, giraffes ,topi, eland, Thomson’s gazelle ,coke, s hartebeest , lion, leopard , cheetah ,rhino ,elephant, buffalo head and a variety of birds boasting over 450 bird species, including raptors, waterfowl, and migratory birds.

 

Witness the beautiful sunset over the savannah. Relax by the camp and enjoy dinner under the stars.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Day 5: Maasai mara – Nairobi (275 km /6 hrs)

Breakfast at the hotel then depending on the time of your flight or your plans, you you will be transferred to the airport by our guide who will make sure you have arrived in time and you have also gotten your boarding tickets.

  • If you have an early flight in Nairobi (any flight departing from 4:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m) will require you to depart after breakfast.
  • If you have a late night flight in Nairobi (any flight departing from 8 p.m to 12 a.m) will require you to depart after breakfast but with an option of doing a 1 to 2 hour excursion that you will organize with your safari guide.

  • All park entry fees.
